About
Design is a craft. We treat it like one.
We've spent thirteen years designing for startups — first inside them, now alongside them. In that time we've learned that great design isn't about taste alone; it's about momentum. Founders don't need a hundred options, they need the right one, shipped.
Amber is deliberately small. Four people, no account managers, no hand-offs, no telephone game. You talk to the people doing the work, and the work moves fast because of it.
The team
You're in experienced hands.
No layers of management. You work directly with the four specialists who understand your business and build the thing from start to finish.
-
June Calloway

-

Identity, type, and the systems that keep a brand from drifting.

Onboarding, funnels, and the unglamorous screens that decide it.
-
Frankie Solberg

Turns the file into the site. Tailwind, motion, and performance.
The road here
Thirteen years, one habit: ship it.
2013
A desk and a rented lamp
June starts freelancing out of a Copenhagen apartment — logos, posters, and websites for anyone who would say yes. The habit of shipping starts here.
2017
The first real product
A challenger bank hires us to design onboarding. Sixty thousand people walk through it in a year, and we stop thinking of design as decoration.
2021
Amber becomes a studio
Two more designers join. We write down the way we already worked — discovery first, no hand-offs, ship in weeks — and put a name on the door.
2024
Design meets the codebase
A design engineer joins and the Figma-to-production gap closes. Clients start getting components instead of screenshots.
2026
Four people, sixty-one launches
Deliberately still four. We take two studio slots a quarter, which is the only way the work stays this close to the people making it.
How we think
Three things we won't compromise.
-
01
Momentum over perfection
- A shipped eight is worth more than a stalled ten. We iterate in public, on the real thing.
-
02
Words are design
- Half of every interface is writing. We design the sentence and the screen together.
-
03
You own your work
- Everything we make is yours — files, fonts, and the reasoning behind them, documented.
