    Hey everyone,

A new category has been created to help out with Voyager specific issues, questions, or anything else related.

Voyager is shaping up to be one of the most popular Laravel Admins and there is a lot more to come. Be sure to star the repo if you haven't yet: [https://github.com/the-control-group/voyager](https://github.com/the-control-group/voyager)

    hi,

i am new to laravel and recently started using voyager as the backend management for a project of mine and so far im really loving it.

however, i am having a little bit of a problem with the storage. (probably in the config im guessing) i can update the profile picture (when i check in the storage/user/month/ the uploaded file is there) but when i go to admin/profile the profile image link is broken.

can you please kindly guide me or give me more details into how i can correctly configure if my project is residing in localhost/projectname directory

    thank you

    Hey @ebrahemz-eju,

Glad to hear that you are liking Voyager. Can you send me the link of the broken image. That might help me figure out what's going on here. Thanks, talk to you soon :)

    hi @Admin,

im developing on my pc using xampp as a server. when i use developer tools and check, the broken image link is "http://localhost/storage/users/January2017/rxR1t5Ko3tJf5peJAFNT.png"

to figure out whats going on i copied the link into a new window and i figured out that if i change the url to ( "http://localhost/nurmatahari/public/storage/users/January2017/rxR1t5Ko3tJf5peJAFNT.png" ) then the desired image is displayed.

Take a look at this: [https://laravel.com/docs/5.3/filesystem#the-public-disk](https://laravel.com/docs/5.3/filesystem#the-public-disk), you need to make sure that you have your symlink setup. It should be in the correct location if this is setup.

Also, the root of your site should be pointing to the `public` folder. This means that when you load up http://localhost/nurmatahari/ it should be looking in the public folder.

Take a look at this page here: [https://laravel.com/docs/5.3/structure#the-public-directory](https://laravel.com/docs/5.3/structure#the-public-directory)

The public folder should be the root of your application. Let me know if this helps at all :)

    Thanks!

solved it bro, created a virtualhost and changed the admin prefix to user and changed the links on admin panel menu items.

    now its working wonderfully.

by the way, any thoughts on doing some tutorials for page generation and stuff for the front end from the admin panel anytime soon ?

    hi @Admin,

after a fresh installation of voyager, i have created a route /home and created associated views. I also created a new user, 'test' with the role 'normal user'.

right now, when the non admin user logs in, the app redirects to "iq.dev/admin" and nothing is displayed, instead of this, i want to redirect user to /home route if the logged in user is a normal non-admin user.

could you point me to which file exactly i should looking at ? because the more time ive spent with this problem the more frustrating its becoming.

    Thanks
